Will curls in tighter at that, like the words themselves hurt. “Dad’s gonna get mad again,” he whispers. “I don’t want him to get mad.”
Mike’s nose scrunches up, his eyes burning. It feels like crying, but different. Hotter, sharper, like it’s trying to claw its way out of him instead of spill. “He hurts you,” Mike spits, voice wobbling despite how hard he tries to keep it steady. “He shouldn’t do that. That’s- that's not allowed. That’s bad.”

Anyways, the point is, Will thinks, that maybe his ghost roommate has escalated from small pranks and is actually now watching Will. Will supposes that's fine, but he does think that maybe it's a little perverted of the ghost to watch Will masturbate. Will trudges back into the house to wash his hands in the kitchen, crinkling his nose. Summary
After Will moved in with Mike and his family, he did his best to show Will how he felt. Sure, maybe the fact that he was technically still dating El made things a little murky, but he hardly ever saw her! And when they were together, it’s not like they ever did anything beyond kissing. Mike’s only with her to keep people from looking too carefully at how close he and Will are. As the weeks go by, Mike gets more and more frustrated with Will, because his best friend doesn’t seem to be picking up on any of the signals he’s sending his way.
He tries scenting Will, being overly affectionate, and even nuzzling Will’s mating gland. Will’s pheromones have always been alluring to Mike, but lately, they’ve become almost unbearable in the best possible way.

He can’t do any of those things, so he watches a documentary about caribou migration and chews the shit out of the side of his thumb instead. Every time his leg starts to jiggle, Nat stops it with a fingertip.
Their presence helps, well, at least it stops him from doing something batshit.
Steve’s checking the time again when the sound of panicked yelling has him up and out the door in the blink of an eye, the door flies open at the same time Steve pulls at it, Bucky wide eyed and terrified and pushing the door shut- “Steve there’s a fuckin’ wolf out there!”

Something's up with Will. Their friends say Mike is crazy, but if anyone knows Will, it's Mike. When Will presents as an omega two years earlier than most people should, Mike can't even gloat about being right, because he's suddenly being sent into overdrive at Will's newfound distress at the situation. But Mike will make it right, he'll keep him safe. That's his job, and he takes pride in it.
