Summary
Pomni wasn’t really sure what to expect when she threw her hat in the ring for Operation: RETRIEVE CAINE. All she knew was that someone had to do it, and she sure as fuck didn’t think any of the others would do it.
The entire thing hinged on the hope that his file still existed somewhere in the bin since for some reason, Kinger couldn’t just find the file directly from their new computer. Some explanation about indexes and file corruption that went over her head- but because of this, someone needed to be deleted and dropped into the bin to interact with him and hopefully get a file reference to him, so that hopefully, when they’re brought back, he (or at least something Caine-adjacent) gets dragged back as well.
Hopefully.
God, this is beyond fucked.

In a last-ditch attempt to stop the circus from falling apart, Pomni gets sent into the bin to retrieve Caine, which, if everything went well, should restore functionality to the Circus. It should be fine, probably- it’ll be just like some convoluted high stakes adventure! Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.It’s too bad computers don’t really work like that.

Summary
After Caine's violent incident where he tortured the circus members and got deleted, the system changed. Abel, the second Ai, takes control of the circus and rewrites the code to make it something different. Genesis City, a cyberpunk city that was intended to mirror the real world, at least according to Abel. You entered the system after the big change, and never knew of the original circus or of Caine. That is, until you find him dirty and powerless in an alley in needing of help. He convinces you to take him to Abel's Tower in the middle of the city, in his last desperate attempt to get his powers and circus back. How hard can that be?
