Once upon a time Peggy Carter had been crushed by loss, and Howard Stark was able to talk her into a way that would at least see part of the man she had loved come back into this world. Over the years she had regretted her choice to be part of that mad plan, but never as much as she did now.
It may be too late for Steve to fix what he's broken, but Peggy can do something before her days are over. She can return the child that her Godson lost and hope that would be enough to see Tony through the pain that his parent's actions was going to bring to him.
