It all started with a massive egg.
Looking back on it, Wilbur should’ve known. He’d been weary with travel, having spent the past week on the road, and he’d been hungry: like an idiot, he’d decided that food was “too heavy” and that hey! He knew how to forage! He could just do that! And, true, he really could forage. It’s just that he couldn’t be arsed. That was probably the reason why Wilbur - breakfastless, lunchless and, if he didn’t find anything soon, dinnerless - made the choice he did.
Because there, tucked away between two tree roots, was an egg. An egg, about twice the size of his head, large enough that it’d probably feed a whole family…
Or, in this case, one very hungry Wilbur.
OR: Wilbur finds an egg unattended in a forest. When he discovers he can't eat it, he for some reason immediately decides to mother it. Unsurprisingly, things happen.

“Oh fuck” Tommy breathed out, because what the fuck? His arm looked like hell, or maybe a purple popsicle.
Tommy went to touch it with his good right arm, and just poking the giant popsicle of an arm sent a numb pain throughout. Tommy hissed, this hurt sure, but Tommy has seen worse. It was fine, the bruise and swelling would hopefully go away in a couple days.
AKA: Tommy gets hurt while out on patrol and has to hide it from his hero family or risk getting found out as a vigilante.
