There wasn't much you could call yours. Your head was a mess, no memories to speak of, and now there were five men who were dragging you along with them.
You supposed there were worse people to shack up with.

Summary
Everyone back on earth dreams of Pandora. Somewhere that the sun still shines, the air is still clean, there are trees as far as the eye can see. But very few actually get to go.
Gary "Roach" Sanderson is one of the lucky few - chosen to pilot an avatar through the dense jungles of Pandora in search of the mysterious signal calling out to any technology it can reach. Placed with two other drivers and a natural born Na'vi to keep the peace between the people and the Na'vi while they track down the source of the signal that will make everything they have obsolete.
But things get complicated when Gary gets entangled with the source of the signal and all of the anomalies that come with it.

"What got two legs 'n' bleeds?" he asks the dog while he thinks about what to do. He takes a drag.
The dog stands, shakes out its fur. Simon can appreciate its size for the first time, now - and yeah. That's in fact a big ass dog. It's got sort of tawny-red-brown patchy fur - maybe gray too, in better lighting. Small-ish, triangular ears; expressive eyes. It yawns.
"Yah, you wouldn', tha's fair," Simon concedes, waving his cigarette in its direction. "You fuckin' off, now? Or gettin' a little snack?" gesturing at himself.

Simon Riley fled to the United States after his discharge from the military. A shadow of his former self, he works as a line cook in a small town; surviving, because that's all he's good for, now.
After he's bitten by a strange dog his life is turned on it's head.Bookmarked by embracepracticalnonexistence

Summary
After the war, Simon follows the ancestry of a man that he loved and lost. It leads him through time and to a man similar but so very different from the John that he knew. But time can heal all wounds, even when sent over two hundred years into the past, a few years before the last Jacobite Uprising.
(An Outlander inspired AU where Simon is somewhat Claire, and John is very much not Jamie)

Summary
Somewhere, in the arid Sonoran desert, a small town that didn’t exist was being haunted.
Ghost owed his existence to Manuel Roba, and he was going to pay that debt owed in kind. And so he becomes a vengeful spectre, a puppet of Santa Muerte, and the doom for the Zaragoza cartel and all it stood for.
A rewrite of Ghost's revenge on Manuel Roba and a larger look into where he could've gotten those guerilla warfare skills from. This popped into my head a while ago, it's pretty much going to be Ghost wrecking shit for a couple of thousand words to help set up the larger work I am slowly writing.

Summary
The 141's mission to eliminate the head of the Zaragoza cartel goes horribly wrong, and ends with Soap and Price captured. They’ve got no weapons and no allies, and Roba’s second-in-command, The Ghost, is keeping them under constant watch.
The Ghost is an enigma. Roba’s right hand, his executioner. A faceless, stone-cold soldier with deadly accuracy. No name, no photos. Only one single, terrified survivor’s testimony describing him as la muerte encarnada; death incarnate.
But as the weeks of captivity go by, Soap begins to think there’s more to the man beneath the mask, and Price finds himself recalling old memories of a past subordinate. Soon, they find that their most dangerous enemy may just be their only hope for survival.

Summary
Being told to shut up always hurt. More than he suspected it should. Soap once had drunkenly apologized to Gaz for being such a loudmouth, and when Gaz insisted that everyone liked his friendly chattiness, Soap had literally flopped over him in relief and confessed that being told to shut up was like being kicked. No other insult or fight had the same effect on him.
Except, perhaps, being called useless.

It's 2007 and the story shifts. Robert Robertson flees his childhood home and follows Elliot Connors.
The lessons he learns are cruel and put him on a path he was never meant to take. It's a slow downward spiral to become the man he is today: Red Mongrel, wanted fugitive, criminal and vigilante.
He hopes for a change when Shroud escapes after twelve years of prison, and gets more than he bargained for. Maybe fate is stronger after all. -

Laying on the cold hard ground, his nostrils filled with the cloying smell of iron and hot pain pulsing through his head with every beat of his heart as he stares up at the woman floating above him, Robert's tempted to make a joke about the familiar sight.
Not that he will. At least for Blonde Blazer, this is the first time they've met.
Aka, a time-travel au.

Summary
Life on Pandora looked completely different depending on whether you came there from Earth or were born there.
Robert was born and raised in Bridgehead, surrounded by both human technology and the unimaginable beauty of Pandora. He was growing up surrounded by both the Avatar programme, which was designed to improve relations between humans and the Na'vi, and the military side of the human colony, which ensured everyone's safety.
Only once he disobeyed his father's orders.
That one time was enough for Robert to nearly lose his life.It was only after years being locked up, like a bird locked in an iron cage, that another opportunity arose for Robert to spread his wings and develop new relationships which might help him cope with the tormenting curse of loneliness and self-destruction.

Summary
Robert has always treated his body like something temporary—maintained just enough to keep going. Then one run-in with a passing villain leaves him younger, unscarred, standing in a body that no longer carries the visible proof of the pain he survived. As the Z-Team watches him move through the world in a way he hasn’t in years, concern sharpens into something heavier. Others begin to notice what Robert himself has long learned to dismiss, and the truth becomes harder to avoid: whatever hit him didn’t just revert him—it revealed how much pain he’d been living with, and how quietly he let it happen. Because if this is who Robert used to be, then the version they’ve known has been surviving far more than he ever admitted.
—
Or: Robert gets caught in the crossfire of a fleeing villain’s power—and wakes up in the body he had at twenty-one.

Summary
AU where Robert has powers his dad forced him to suppress in his youth. Upon stepping into the role of Mecha Man Blue, Robert runs himself into the ground physically, mentally, and financially to uphold his family’s legacy. It’s what he was born and raised for, after all. He can’t afford to fuck it up. He’s nothing outside of it. His dad was so keen on drilling that into his head.
…with that kind of pressure on him, is it any wonder he starts to act out? It really shouldn’t be surprising that he needs to let off some steam, some charge, so he doesn’t lose his cool doing real hero work. Call him a hypocrite. Call him a supervillain in a hero’s suit. Robert’s long since past the point of caring.
It’s just a shame he’s working so closely with people who know the hallmarks of a real villain a lot better than he would like them to. He’ll have to keep his work and his fun separate, for the team’s sake if nothing else. They mean a lot to him. He genuinely wants to help them succeed in their redemption arcs.
But he has no intention of stopping. Not when he’s finally back in his prime.
Not for anyone.
