Jack continues to come into the ED with suspicious injuries, and as their friendship grows, Jack refuses to let Robby in and tell him what's really going on. Robby is convinced something bad is going to happen to the person he's started to fall for, and he feels powerless to stop it.

It’s been over two months of chasing Buck across the country, from state to state to state, following a trail he suspects Buck doesn’t realize he’s dropping breadcrumbs on. If he did, Eddie worries he’d stop sending the postcards, and they’re his only clues. Buck left his phone in his apartment back in Los Angeles. If he’s gotten a new one, he hasn’t shared the number with anyone—not Maddie, not Chris, and certainly not Eddie.
So Eddie lays in a too-soft bed in a too-small cabin in the middle of bumfuck Nebraska, the first grey light of dawn creeping its fingers past the dusky pink curtains, and reads the postcard again. He knows what it says by heart, but it makes him feel a little less alone to hear Buck’s voice in his head.

So, with three relationship failures under Eddie's belt (four, if he counted Kim), it was time to face the reality that maybe, just maybe, he was sort of, kind of, possibly, a little tiny bit gay. Not fully gay. Just. Partially gay? It wasn’t that he disliked women…right? He’d been with women. He’d very contentedly had sex with women. Well, he’d liked getting them off. That felt good. He liked giving them something that made them happy and feel good. And that was fine, right? It just wasn’t mind-blowing. Was it supposed to be?
On this journey of self discovery, there was really only one option left: He needed to experiment on a real, actual, human man.

“No Eddie, you don’t understand, they were so nice!” He's beaming. “They were all big and perky, and they were super sensitive, too!” Eddie simply nods along, a smile pulling at his lips while he sips at his beer, God, he was adorable. “She was super sensitive everywhere, she was moaning and begging me to fuck her immediately.” He pauses briefly while glancing down the hallway to see if Chris has woken up. “Dude, she was so fucking wet. Like dripping. Like a waterfall.”
Eddie rolls his eyes at that, “For you? That's shocking” It’s a sarcastic quip that results in a pillow benign thrown at him.
OR. After a night out, Buck tells Eddie how much the last girl loved his dirty talk and things escalate form there.

James takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.
“You are not a young man,” M says plainly. “Everyone, even James Bond, needs time to let wounds heal, both physical and mental. Pushing yourself is going to get you or someone else killed eventually.”
“So not another mission then?” James asks and moves to stand.
