Summary
When Stede Bonnet left a life on land to sail the seas as The Gentleman Pirate, he thought he would figure out his true calling. He never expected that rescuing a strange, gray-bearded mercreature covered in tattoos and healing scars would be the thing to give him direction. In discovering who the merman is, he discovers parts of himself he'd kept hidden, and that maybe their lives really aren't so different, after all. They're both looking for the same thing: a person to see past all the trauma and who truly sees them. Ed is like something from Stede's wildest dreams, and Stede is willing to risk breaking the rules society has put on both of them in order to find a new place for them, all while they define what their relationship looks like.
And if he can figure that all out, maybe Stede isn't such a bad pirate after all.

Summary
The Reno Cure is set in the summer of 1959, when classics professor Stede Bonnet resigns his position at the University of Chicago, and leaves his wife for only place in the United States where you can get a no-fault divorce: the deserts of Nevada. He’s booked at a so-called Divorce Ranch just outside of Reno, where he’ll spend the requisite six weeks establishing residency, where he meets Ed Teach, who introduces him to the underground gay nightlife scene that is still recovering from the brutal vice raids of the McCarthy era.
From Reno, With Love is an open-ended series that continues Ed and Stede's stories for the next four decades, as they build a life together with their family and friends. See Series Notes for a chronological order.

Summary
Stede isn't someone people stick around for. His ex-wife disappeared with her new boyfriend approximately five minutes after their divorce was final, leaving him as the sole guardian of their daughter. And now his boyfriend, well, ex-boyfriend, has disappeared with their savings and sublet their apartment to a virtual stranger.
Ed just got the lead in his first New York play and needs a place to crash. Luckily, one of his old acting friends offers to let him sublet his place while he's out of the country. It seems he forgot to mention that the apartment comes with a highly-strung blond bombshell, who seems to loathe Ed's very presence, and the guy's sassy pre-teen daughter.
Forced into cohabitation by circumstances, Ed and Stede bicker their way toward grudging acceptance... and maybe more.

They're finally free of the monastery, but the question remains of what to do next. Ed has always wanted to be human, but even in his explorations of Earth he hasn't found a way to change his nature. Stede would love nothing more than to be with Ed forever, to explore the parts of himself that are drawn to the infernal forces beyond the bounds of Earth, but he's limited by his own mortality.
What does forever look like between a man and an immortal demon when death could separate them at any moment? Ed and Stede will travel into the depths of Hell itself to find out.

After a hectic couple of years, newlyweds Ed and Stede are enjoying a slower pace of life. No more sold out concert tours or album releases, no more dreary office jobs. Retirement suits them quite nicely, actually. Well, technically it’s not a full retirement, since they are working on their joint project - fixing up Ed’s mum’s old house to turn it into a B&B.
Along the way there are celebrations with friends, the return of old foes, and the spotlight that Ed left behind when he abandoned his rockstar lifestyle, blinking back on with an opportunity that Ed and Stede feel like they have to consider.

Stede never put too much thought into the app his children used to pass their idle hours. He'd occasionally let them drag him into some choreographed dance or silly skit, tickled pink at the thought of his children feeling secure enough to ask him to participate in their antics without fear of ridicule.
