It had been a week after Adrien broke up with her. Marinette was up on her roof, trying to distract herself from the pain inside. She had found that sleeping only replayed the cursed memory, so that was a no-go. That is why the young bluenette found herself trying to knit a scarf up on her balcony. However, it seemed like every stitch she tried, it just continued to unravel.

Draco knows that there’s no point even putting himself in the race. If Harry Potter is going to mate with anyone then Draco Malfoy isn’t just low on the list– he’s on the blacklist. Harry Potter, he is sure, would rather eat old leather than entertain so much as looking at Draco again. Not to say Draco thinks Harry still loathes him, worse, he thinks Harry doesn’t consider him worth thinking about at all. A colossal waste of time, that’s Draco.

“These bloody plants,” Mr Herbley grunted, straining as he tore at a stubborn stem, “they survive anything—poison, cold, damage.” He paused to make sure Draco was listening. “The only way to kill them is to pull them out by the roots.”
Now that the war was over, Draco found himself thinking of that moment constantly.
The remaining Death Eaters were being sentenced, and Azkaban loomed at the edges of his life like a certainty he could not avoid.
But worse than that was the fact that he had something to lose now. Harry.
Draco only hoped that they couldn’t be uprooted.
