Summary
Greg had seen a lot in his twenty years on the force. Quite aside from his own personal list of injuries; being shot, stabbed, his broken bones. He’d seen fellow officers downed, mass shootings, his fair share of explosions. Strange things, too. Once Sherlock had shown up in his life.
But nothing would ever compare with seeing Mycroft half buried under the debris from an explosion designed to kill him and not knowing whether he was dead or alive.

It was at that moment, and only then, that Mycroft observed the man in front of him in his entirety. The scientist squinted his eyelids. His vision contemplating a half-dressed body. A sea-blue fabric wrapped around one shoulder. An azure symbol painted on the other.
Mycroft lifted his lips in slow motion. “You are an Atlantean.”
The half-dressed man anchored his gaze on Mycroft. He was not surprised. Neither upset. Only amused.
“Call me Greg.” he giggled.
“Is it short for Gregory?”
“Yeah,” he replied, pressing a little more on the fabric between his fingers. “Even though no one calls me that.”
Mycroft slid his palm along the arm of the Atlantean. A shiver ran down his spine.
“May I call you Gregory?”
“You can call me whatever you want.” Greg affirmed. “As long as you stop moving, you can even call me yours.”

Summary
December, the last month of the year often bathed in a cold weather, was probably Lestrade’s favorite month. The freezing temperatures made it difficult to get outside, the roads were icy, making driving dangerous, and the weather was gloomy, making everyone want to be in spring.
Except for Gregory.
"I doubt that anyone could change my perception of things on the subject, Inspector."
The detective approached, his body falling off the seat he had been sitting on for several minutes.
"Give me a chance to try." he begged, his words resembling a prayer. "Give me a chance to show you what Christmas really looks like. And if after that you still don’t like it, I promise never to mention it again."
Gregory was not quite sure how, but he would have to find a way prove to Mycroft Holmes that Christmas was the most beautiful day of the year.
