Collins sat down on the snowy moss, his back to the cold stone that was engraved with the words "Angel Dumontt-Schunard, beloved lover and friend.". Earlier, he had placed flowers on the ground hoping to bring some life to the area. His knees pulled to his chest. He wiped tears from his eyes, his brows furrowing as something like grief ate away at him.
He felt like a light had been snuffed out of his life.

"How was work?" Sapnap asked. his tail flicking slowly and wrapping around Karl's leg. Quackity shrugged, his wings twitching slightly. "The same as always. How were you days, you distracted jerks?" He said, with not actual malice behind his flared words. Karl gave him a weak thumbs up, while Sapnap shrugged. "...Most of mine was fine." He muttered, looking away for a moment. Quackity frowned, sitting down on the bed next to both of them. "Why just fine, amor?"
Sapnap sighed, his eyes fluttering shut for a moment before meeting Quackity's golden ones. "Just had bad dysphoria today." He admitted, "I was cheering him up." Karl added, their grip around Sapnap tightening. "And you did a great job, baby..." Sapnap mumbled, causing Karl's face to turn a shade of pink as they buried their head into his chest. Quackity nodded, ruffling Sapnap's hair. "You know we don't care about the fact you're trans... right?" Sapnap nodded in return, his hand that was at his side going to hold Quackity's. "Yeah, I know. It's more convincing myself I need to do..."

Crimson splattered across the pavement and the boy, barely over 14, fell to the ground with a thud. As his back hit concrete, he felt blood rise in his throat, coughing.
The boy inhaled sharply, and he felt sick as he saw glistening clots of his own blood, rimmed with plasma and pooling on the ground. “That’s the last time you be stealing from my shop, blondie.” This caused the blood to come up in a wave, and the boy spat it up over his clothes with an “ack-”. The man spat on the cement, giving the boy a firm kick to the chest. The man was smoking a cigarette, holding it between his fingers and drawing it from his lips as he spoke to the lanky boy.
So, what's black, white, and red all over? (WHOA AUTHOR IS HUMOROUS)

Gatsby had it all together. Gatsby put on a lavish facade of excitement. He put on a smile that seemed to understand everything. A true Oxford man, an extravagant and rich bachelor.
This was not Gatsby in his bed. This was Jay. Jay was broken and alone. Jay found it hard to smile, and found it hard to cope with seperation. Jay gave up Daisy and has resigned himself to his palace-like home ever since.
